How Class Tools works — what this page is, and how it fits with your chat

What this is

Your offline apps, in the sidebar. They read your gradebook, print cards, and draft notes home right on this computer. Nothing you open here is sent anywhere.

Do this first

Nothing yet. Your chat will send you to the one app you need, when you need it. Curious? Click See a demo class above, or open any app and click Load demo class (made-up students).

How this fits with your chat

The Offline option (the usual way)
  1. Once a week, tell your chat your number (no names)
  2. Your AI helps with the one thing you're trying
  3. Print the cards or messages here

Missing work? Type the total missing and how many kids have 3 or more, or let Class Pulse count them from your gradebook.

The Claude for Teachers option

If you use Claude for Teachers and your district has said it's okay, you can share student information in the chat directly. These apps are still the quickest way to print cards, make groups, and print badges.

Two pages, two jobs. This page is Class Tools. In the chat, your AI keeps your class page (mission, this week, the trend) and copies its headlines onto the cards below.

Getting back here: open the local-tools folder in your classroom assistant folder and double-click ClassAI-dashboard. Can't find it? Search for ClassAI-dashboard in Finder (Mac) or File Explorer (Windows).
